Are you a feminist? Do you believe that access to reproductive healthcare is a basic human right? Are you interested in creating positive change within our community? Want to meet like-minded folks? Mabel Wadsworth Center has grown from a conversation around a kitchen table to an incredibly successful, independent feminist health center. Our success is due, in large part, to the dedication of community volunteers. There are many ways to get involved:
Board of Directors and Related Committees: Our diverse Board of Directors donates countless hours to Mabel Wadsworth Center. People from all backgrounds serve on Mabel’s board and various committee. Contact us for more information.
Advocacy Committee: The group is made up of volunteers, board members, interns, and staff members. It meets once a month to organize events and demonstrations with a focus on educating our community about reproductive rights and sexual health.
Education and Outreach Volunteer: This position varies depending on the volunteer’s interests/experience and current needs of the center. The position may include tabling, leading workshops, or organizing events.
Administrative Volunteer: This position includes general office work assisting our staff with tasks such as filing, creating charts, stuffing envelopes, and folding.
